Such a Great Cycle

Hola

This week was another really good week. This week Elder Bentley and I continued to look for new people para enseñar. We found some new people para enseñar and we continued with the investigadores that are progressing super well right now. The Familia Diaz Ramon, the family of 8 that we found are progressing super well and are working towards their goal for the 8th of Diciembre to be baptized. We played some soccer with their kids and it was pretty funny because they told me that I use to much of my body when I play soccer jajaj (oooops). Martin is progressing well too and we had a very cool experience with him this week as he is working hard for his goal and should be baptized on the 1st of December. Something that threw Elder Bentley off guard though is that Martin told us this week that he went to the doctor and the doctors told him that he has cancer and only has 4 more months to live. At this moment my heart dropped as I felt the love for him and tried to comprehend how he was feeling. The spirit hit me so strong when he told us ever since the doctors had told him he had been thinking about what to do and he told us that the changes he has seen his life through the Gospel that he is going to work towards his goal to be baptized. He told us that he was going to continue and put himself in the Lord´s hands. I know that the Lord will bless him in one or other forms.

This week we found out that Elder Bentley and I both have changes and we are both leaving here in Benito Juarez. We are both sad to leave all the people we have found and the work we have. I really enjoyed it here in Benito Juarez and am hoping for the best here in this barrio especially for all the work we have. I am really going to miss the amistades I made here and really hope that the work will continue. I am now in the barrio Tepelcates in the Estaca Oriental. You guys wouldn´t believe it but I am with Elder Alamea again jajajj. I am excited to work with him again and see what the Lord has prepared for us here in this area Tepelcates.

Up until this week here in Mexico I have never been cold but el Miércoles I was so cold jajjaja. I remember leaving the house without a jacket and I had to repent for that with the light rain and the cold that it was making. I feel like as more time I have here the more my body adjusts to the clima jajjaa. I am going to miss Elder Bentley yelling at me every morning to turn the fan off jajjajaja. One thing Elder Bentley told me is that he is not going to miss me sleeping with the fan and him dying every morning because he is so cold jajajja. The mission is so awesome such good times that I will remember forever jajja.

Yesterday Elder Bentley and I had the chance to speak in Sacrament meeting. With the new ward it was a good opportunity to speak in front of and get to introduce ourselves a little bit. We both talked about perseverar hasta el fin. My comp focused on the little and small things and I talked about the importancia in being diligent. There are 4 scriptures that drew my attention especially about being diligent en Doctrina y Convenios 58:26-29 que dicen
26 For behold, it is not meet that should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not wise servant; wherefore he receiveth no reward.
27 Verily say, men should be anxiously engaged in good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring tpass much righteousness;
28 For the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their reward.

29 But he that doeth not anything until he is commanded, and receiveth commandment with doubtful heart, and keepeth it with slothfulness, the same idamned.
We are our own agents and we have the power of agency to choose. Don´t let the adversary drive you astray because the Lord is always watching for diligencia. Those who are diligent will arrive and see the blessings but if we are never diligent then we will never know what blessings are waiting for us. We have to be leaders en vez de followers because the Lord is looking for the leaders. Always look forward and prest forward because the Lord is waiting us to endure to his presence. Hope all is well and that you have a great week!

Blessings on Blessings on Blessings

Hola

Well this week I think everyone remembers how Elder Bentley and I had kind of tough week last week with just finding nuevas personas para enseñar. This week we went in determined and we knew that el Señor was going to bless us. This week we kept going at it and kept contactando bastantes personas. This week we were walking to a cita and had contacted personas en la calle en el camino and we hadn´t found anyone that was interested so we told ourselves that we should just go straight to the cita but I felt the impresion tocar 2 doors more. We touched one door and they were busy and then the 2nd door and last one we were going to touch was where we saw the blessings. We touched and at first no one came out but we touched again and the funniest part about it was that the door was really small and I could see over it and basically see the whole house. As I look over to see if anyone is home I see this Señor and he looks at me and we made eye contact but in this moment I had a really good feeling so I started to talk to him without him even opening the door and I asked him if we could share a message with him. He opens the door and just invites in the house without even asking. We get to meet them and it is a family of 4 when we got in but we taught the parents basically La Restauracion and then we asked to come back another day. They invited us to come over on Saturday in the morning. The Hno told us that he was going to invite all his familia and his kids. We were so pumped for it all week and Saturday morning we did divisiones so I went with Elder Hales. We get to the cita and they all just sit down to listen to us and before I know it there were 12 people sitting around us waiting to listen to share a message 8 of which were over baptismal age. We taught El Plan de Salvacion and at the end we asked them if they wanted to live as a family together after this life. I felt the strongest prompting as I saw the whole family look at each other and answered with the most sincere yes. Elder Hales and I my comp at the time challenged them to baptism and they all acepted to work towards being baptized and working towards the Reino Celestial. I remember after all 8 of them said yes to be baptized I had the strongest and biggest smile on my face that I could not get rid of. I was so happy and one of them commented and asked me why I looked so happy. In that moment I felt so awesome and we were able to bring this family to church yesterday all 8 OF THEM!!! The Lord is so awesome and is always looking out for us!

This week we had a similiar experiencia that Elder Bentley got the prompting as we were walking to just enter a street and tocar the 3rd puerta. At first I was kind of doubting it because we were headed to una cita and we were already late but we went and did it and what do you know we find another family of 4 that had platicado con los misioneros antes and they let us in we taught them about the Restoration. The Lord truly blessed us this week as we found several people to teach and we are so excited to find more. Something that I have learned from all this is that we should never get up because we have no idea what the Lord has prepared for us. Always keep your head up and push forward putting your trust in the Lord.

Yesterday we watched a transmisión de Salt Lake and we listed to Elder Valenzuela speak along with Elder Rasband. It was so awesome, Something that really stuck out to me is now is the time to act and prepare ourselves. Something that really stuck out to me that really has helped me is that Elder Valenzuela said that if we are not preaching the Gospel than we are teaching people´s agency away. I love preaching and am so glad I chose to serve the Lord here in Mexico. I am enjoying my time here with Elder Bentley so much, there are changes next week and we really hope to stay together! Hope all is well and that you guys have a great week!

Faith Builder Week

Hola

This week I am so grateful to have had. Elder Bentley and I went hard this week and now in the mission we started counting how many people we have contacted in the week. This week Elder Bentley and I contacted 120 people and we only found 2 news. There was definitely frustration but Elder Bentley and I kept our heads up and kept working hard. I remember last night as a cita fell with a family that we were so looking forward to and Elder Bentley kind of just looked at each other and we said to a prayer asking the Lord to know what we should do because we felt that we had done all that we could and weren´t sure what more to do. I remember when this cita fell that I had the words come to my head "Go Home." Elder Bentley and I knew that it was only 8 and we had another hour left to work so we kept contacting. We ended up not finding any like cool investigadores and last night when we got to the house I was just pondering on what had happened in the week and what we could do better. I was reading in Doctrinas y Convenios en la seccion 58 and the verse 3 and 4 stuck out to me. Dice:
Ye cannot behold with your natural eyesfor the present time, the design of your God concerning those things which shall come hereafter, and the glory which shall follow after much tribulation.
For after much tribulation come the blessingsWherefore the day cometh that ye shall bcrowned with much glorythe hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand.
I know that these scriptures were an answer to my prayers. I know that what we are seeing in our work right now is not what the Lord has in store for us. I have so much confianza en el Señor and know that this week there will be someone prepared for us to teach them and they will need the felicidad that this Gospel brings. Put your trust in the Lord and everything will be alright, the Lord loves each and everyone one of us and everything will be alright.
This week Elder Bentley and I celebrated some Dia de Muertos with some Pan de Muerto. It is so good, I am going to miss the food so much here when I leave. Oh ya I also beat my comp in Bean Boozled this week. We had a very compettive game but he couldn´t handle the dead fish and ended up throwing up jajajjajajajajjajaja. This week we got super wet as well and just doing the work. I love it so much and everyday there is no greater feeling than a hard day of work!
This week we had a cool experience with one of our investigadores se llama Martin that we found in bad shape when we first found him. He had drinking problems but he already stopped drinking and echando un buen de ganas. He has a fecha for the 24th of Noviembre and he is so awesome. He recieved his answer that this is the true church just from teaching the Palabra de Sabiduria. I know that the Lord is working with us here and it was so awesome to hear Martin accept the fecha the 24 for el bautismo with so much animo. I hope all have a good week.
