¡Feliz Año Nuevo! Oh this week was not the greatest for me. Earlier this week Elder May and I found a bunch of really cool investigators and set citas with them for later in the week. When Wednesday came around this week I started to not feel the greatest. Thursday in the afternoon we went back to the house to rest because I felt super weak and was struggling to walk around to our citas. Thursday in the afternoon I rested and we left to work in the night and Friday I woke up feeling terrible. I rested most of Fridayand worked in the night but I was not feeling the best. Saturday I had to stay in the house the whole day while my companion went on splits in our area with the Zone Leaders. Oh it is not fun spending most of the week in the house. I wanted to work so bad.
Even though I was in the house most the week I was able to leave the house all day Sunday and we ate dinner with the Fam Espejel. I love the family so much, they are literally like my family here. I hope that everyone had a Good New Years!
I listened to a lot of conference talks this week while I was in the house and I love the message from our beloved prophet Thomas S. Monson that we should "Dare to Stand Alone." Sometimes as members of the church we have to stand alone and sometimes it is hard because we feel out of place. I remember muchas veces in highschool when I felt out of place. I can testify that yes it is hard and yes sometimes it is embarassing but we are blessed for following the standards that we have. I love President Monson´s example of him feeling alone in the army as a Mormon. As members of the Church we can spread the light of Christ, the love that he has for each one of his children. The light of Christ is the happiness that we feel from the Gospel.
Sorry there isn´t much for this week, I wasn´t able to do much but I hope this week is full of experiences and that we can find a family in need of the Gospel. I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Years! Can´t wait to see 2018 brings in the Work of the Lord!!!!!!!!
