This week was a busy one and a good one. This week Elder Alamea and I had a very cool experience. We were contacting and we were really doing it with the purpose to get into the house and we were touching every door. We found some mago and we met several very interesting people jajajja. We had the opportunity to enter 2 houses and give a blessing. One of these houses had a family of 3 and we began to talk to them about the Book of Mormon and we had a leccion about that and how that this book could really help them in their lives. We invited them to the church and we went to go pick them up and they went and everything. Contactar realmente sirve! On Sunday I was a little bothered because a familia of 7 the Fam Flores that went to church last week promised us that they would go to church but they cancelled with us like 10 min before. I was kind of frustrated because they are a huge family and we know that the Evangelio can help them so much in their familia. Something that I have learned in the mish is that the Señor really never leaves us hanging and that he is always watching over us and knows our frustrations because evern though the Fam Flores didn´t go to church we still had 6 investigadores en la capilla. I was so happy to see that and see that the Lord is really aware of our needs and is always blessing us even when we don´t deserve it sometimes. I also gave a talk at church yesterday.
This week we got to take investigadores to the Centro para Visitantes o sea Visitors Center (jajaja that sounds weird to say in English). It was a great experience because the lights are up for Navidad. We watched the video about the family and honestly it just made me so happy because it really assured my testimony that the families can be together forever. I am so grateful for that and I am pretty sure that is one of the motivations por lo cual I keep and will keep striving myself to be better so I can get to that point with my fam. Alma the investigador that we brought and her sobrino loved it there and it was so cool because we walked around the templo just taking pics with the lights. I love it there, it is just so peaceful and realmente you can feel that it is the casa del Señor.
On Saturday we had the Fiesta Navideña for la Estaca and it was actually super cool. This whole week Elder Alamea and I along with the zona prepared a sketch for the Fiesta. It went really well we did it over el nacimiento de JesuCristo and when he came here to las Americas. There was coros there and it was awesome to see the estaca get together and celebrate the nacimiento of our brother Jesus Christ. In the sketch I was un rey mago junto con Elder Kay jajaj. I had a beard and everything and you will see that in the pics. It was fun to be with the zone and to have some ponche after. It is so funny because when I first got to the mish I did not like the ponche at all but now I love it! Everyone tells me that I am not from the United States here because I literally love all the food here and usually all the Americans certain things for example el Chicharrón en Salsa Verde jajajajja but I love it. I am loving it here so much, there is nothing better than just diving yourself into the culture and serving these people. It is so true that everyone is looking for the truth but they just don´t know where to find it. I am loving the mish so much! Hope all is well!
