This week was a very busy week. We had the Zone Conference, Interviews, and as Zone Leaders we have lots of things to plan for the Estaca for Christmas. I am excited for Christmas it is crazy that this is my 2nd Christmas in the mission. I remember the Christmas last year and I feel like that was the other week jajaj. Time is sure flying by fast. Elder Alamea and I have also been very busy this week now that we are a brand new Rama Juarez. There is a lot of work to do to keep the miembros animated and to work with them to help make the Rama stronger and bigger. This week we did a service project with the Rama where we met up in the Capilla and we went to go sing to investigadores and to other families and it was super cool to see the unity of the Rama even though there are not a lot of active miembros. We also went to go piant a house for the Dia de Servico and there is nothing better than serving the Lord and the people of Mexico. Elder Alamea and I have worked hard with lists of antiguos investigadores and with menos activos because there is usually someone that isn´t miembro. We know that we just need to have patience and put our heads down and work hard and the blessings will come. We are not sure when but we know that they will come.
This week my testimony was strengthened even more del Libro de Mormón. This week we found an Hno that is really struggling with his family. His wife and him got seperated, he hasn´t found a job that is sufficient and he is trying to take care of his daughter at the same time and making sure that she goes to school. We talked with another Hno that is a returned missionary and his family is members but he is the only active member. All his life he has worked to be able to enter el templo and be sealed to them but they just won´t go to Church and he doesn´t know what to do because they are not working at all to get into the temple and be sealed. A story from the Book of Mormon that I shared with both these Hnos is the story when the bow broke and Nephi had to build another one and go out and hunt for his family. I love this story because Nephi has to work hard to construct this bow because if he doesn´t everyone is going to fall in the family. It got to the point where his Dad Lehi began to murmur the prophet but nephi never backed down and he kept pushing forward. We invited both of these Hnos to read the Book Of Mormon and the Hno that is investigator when we went back to ask how it went he had read all of 1 Nefi in like 5 days. He said that the Book applies so much to his life and he doesn´t want to stop reading it because it gives him so many answers. We all need to be like Nefi, there are going to be times when we feel like everyone is judging us but we need to move on with faith and to never give up. Joseph Smith when he had his vision no one believed him but he kept on and he worked and now hoy en dia we have La Iglesia de JesuCristo do los Santos de Los Últimos Días. I invite all to read 1 Nephi Chapter 16 and see how you can apply it to your life. I am so grateful for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in my life and to have the Book of Mormon that gives us so much more knowledge and really helps us to understand a lot more things in this life. I hope all have a good week and that you all can participate in Lighting the World this month to bring more almas to the Señor.
