This week went really well for the work. Well when I arrived here in Arboleda with Elder Peña there was one appointment for the whole week. That was really frustrating to see when I got here because we had a lot more work in my first area. Well after LOTS of contacing people in the calle and the puertas. This cycle with Elder May so far we have contacted a lot, on the way to citas and when we don´t have citas we are contacting. Although we haven´t had much success with the whole contacting we put 3 baptismal dates this week for February. All the fechas that we put this week were people that contacted us when they saw us walking in the street. This week was really a testament to me that this is truly the Lord´s work and he is always preparing people for us to teach. The Spirit has been bien fuerte in all of the lessions that we have had this week especially with one investigator in the first lesson that we had no intentions of putting a fecha with but the Spirit was strong for both me and my compa so we put the fecha with her and gave her a Book Of Mormon both of which we had no intentions of doing. The Holy Ghost is so important in our lives, it is our comnpanion and guide in our lives. Something that I believe to be true is the Holy Ghost is what makes baptism so important. Without the Holy Ghost in our lives this work and life is impossible. We can not do this life alone, Heavenly Father sent us here to learn and face challenges some of those challenges we can not face alone. The Holy Ghost is with us along as we are worthy to guide us back to our Heavenly Father.
There are awesome things that happen in every week but there are also things that are super hard and can be frustrating. This week all of the fechas that we had plans to stop by and bring them to church all of them cancelled with us. Yes it was very frustrating, but something I have learned and am working on is to never give up on our investigators. Heavenly Father will never give up on us, we can only give up on him. Yes it was hard but we are hoping for this week that we can get them all in the capilla. Goals are really important and can help us achieve great things.
This week the work went well and my Spanish feels a lot better! Not perfect but I feel a lot more comfortable. Today was a lot of fun, the zone got together and we played basketball and soccer. My soccer skills are getting better, haha I never thought i would say that in my life but they sure play a lot of soccer here. I love playing with the kids in the calle. After we played for a couple hours, we went to eat Chinese food again! Haha I love Chinese, it is nothing like Panda Express but it definitely does the job for me haha!
